Properties in Kavarna
Kavarna is a charming seaside town still quiet and not yet infiltrated by the tourist masses. The town is situated 48km north of Varna and just 12km away from the picturesque Kaliakra cape with a population af about 13 000 people.
Kavarna was founded in the 5th century BC when greek conquerors came to those places. They built the old Bizone fortress. Devastating earthquakes demolished the town and the fortress afterwords, and in the 2nd century AD Romans arose settlement which became important military and cultural centre of the county called Malka Skitia. Byzantines used the fortress in the Middle Ages, and in the 14th century AD the settlement became the main city of the semi-independent Dobrudjan kingdom.
The coast to the north of the town is high and steep, shining with its limestone rocks against the sea while the south of the town boasts an excellent but relatively quiet beach and a marina.A magnificent golf course is being built just south of the town, making it suitable for development and future investments.
